Allied Telesis Announces PC200 & PC2000 Unmanaged PoE+ Switching Media Converters

With a unique remote power cycling feature, small form-factor and internal power supply, these media converters are great for powering remote devices like IP phones, video cameras and wireless access points that are deployed more than 100m away.

SAN JOSE, CA – May 12, 2017 - Allied Telesis, a leading provider of hardware and software products that allow customers to build secure, feature-rich and scalable data exchange solutions, has launched the PC200 and PC2000 series of unmanaged PoE+ switching media converters. With the on-going, exponential growth in deployments of small PoE-enabled smart sensors such as surveillance cameras, network managers are often challenged with providing cost-effective access to PoE services for every required location. Adding a multi-port PoE switch for individual sensors or devices can be expensive and the solution is to deploy a more affordable switching media converter when a dedicated PoE switch port is not readily available.

The PC200 and PC2000 series offer a combined four models:
