Allied Telesis Ensures Confidence When Migrating Any Enterprise Network to the Cloud

SAN JOSE, CA. - December 4, 2012 - Allied Telesis, Inc., a global provider of secure IP/Ethernet switching solutions and an industry leader in the deployment of IP Triple Play networks, announces the latest edition to its portfolio of enterprise network solutions for safe, secure migration to the cloud -the AT-DC2552XS -the first ultra-low latency switch in the Company's DC2500 Series, which is designed exclusively for cloud environments. It provides high density 10GbE and 40GbE connectivity, making it ideal for today's big data, cloud and optimized workloads. Energy efficient architecture and front-to-back air-flow cooling of the AT-DC2552XS are also critical factors in optimizing data center investment -as companies need to balance performance with power consumption to meet energy budgets.

The AT-DC2552XS switch can be deployed within the solution profile for enterprises of all sizes to provide easy resiliency and accessibility for any user, whether working locally or remotely. For SMEs (up to 500 users), the AT-DC2552XS connects servers and storage, with a compact core based on the x610 Series advanced Layer 3+ Gigabit Ethernet stackable switches that supports both the network and data center applications.

For the larger enterprise, where the architecture of the network is wider and the data center requirements are larger, the AT DC2552XS can handle all of these needs, being connected to a bigger core. The Allied Telesis SwitchBlade x8112 intelligent Layer 3+ chassis is the best choice for concentrated core of enterprise networks, requiring high 10GbE port density. Alternately, the Allied Telesis SwitchBlade x908 advanced Layer 3 modular switch is the unique platform for distributed cores and metro applications, where high 1GbE port density is demanded. The AT-SBx908 has received MEF-9 Certification from the Metro Ethernet Forum. In both solutions, the AT-DC2552XS is able to support different storage requirements, based on ISCSI or ATA over Ethernet (AoE) technologies, guaranteeing high availability and the possibility of upgrading to support continuous availability as the organization migrates data from the network to the cloud and as future business needs grow.

In combination with the AT-VNC10S network interface card for servers, the AT-DC2552XS helps clients to reduce costs and complexity in data centers.

"Our service offering makes migration to a cloud paradigm even easier and a possibility for businesses of all sizes," states Jun Kohara, vice president of Global Product Management at Allied Telesis. "A portfolio of professional services, from a network assessment to the implementation and management of the network, is available to meet the growing needs of our customers."
