How to Build a ATI iMG Image from the Consumer Release
Here are the steps that a consumer can follow to build an Allied Telesis iMG image from the
consumer release archive.
1. Install the bcm963xx consumer release files and toolchain
$ su
# mkdir /tmp/consumer
# cd /tmp/consumer
# tar -xzf _bcm963xx__consumer_release.tar.gz
# chmod +x consumer_install
# ./consumer_install
2. Build the appropriate image.
# cd /tmp/consumer/bcm963xx_router
# make PROFILE=96368GWV ATI_PRODUCT_FAMILY=
Where is one of the following: iMG1400, iMG1500, iMG2400 or iMG2500.
3. Launch the Allied Telesis Web interface by connecting a Web browser to the iMG
4. Select the Management => Update Software menu item.
5. In the “Software File Name:” edit box, enter or browse for an image in the /tmp/consumer/bcm963xx_router/images/upload directory.
6. Click on the “Update Software” button.
