Allied Telesis COVID-19 Response

The current COVID-19 (“coronavirus”) pandemic means we are all facing unprecedented challenges. On behalf of Allied Telesis, I want to reassure you that as a global company, we are working to protect our employees, customers, and partners. The health and safety of our staff, their families, and our communities remain our highest priority.

As this dynamic situation evolves, we remain committed to being responsive to the needs of our customers and partners. We are continually monitoring and responding to events to ensure we are doing everything we can to provide you the products, services, and support you need and expect.

We are working closely with our distribution partners to understand where supply chain issues may arise and how to best mitigate these risks. We are well-placed to respond swiftly to customer demands because, in addition to our factory in China, we own factories in Indonesia and Singapore. These facilities are already back to 75% capacity, and our local suppliers have also mostly resumed normal operations. In addition, our Logistics facilities around the globe hold inventory and we can drop ship orders directly to customers from Singapore.

We’ve actioned our business continuity plans and have implemented several measures across our global and local operations to help protect our staff and communities, as follows:

  • All Allied Telesis staff will comply with mandatory procedures to limit the spread of COVID-19 as issued by the Governments of their home countries.
  • A work-from-home schedule has been implemented for much of our worldwide workforce in line with CDC guidance to limit gatherings.
  • Non-essential business travel has been restricted until further notice.
  • Staff have been encouraged to follow good hygiene practices, including frequent handwashing and social distancing.
  • We have ensured that alcohol wipes, sanitizers, tissues, masks, and other needed supplies for use in the workplace are available and have increased the frequency of facility sanitization to reduce the risk of infection.

As a result of these measures, we are encouraging the use of virtual meetings, both internally and externally. Although this is less than ideal, we do appreciate your support to help us maintain our high standards of customer service at this time.

If you have any questions or concerns about specific projects or activities, or wish to increase your stock levels, you should contact your Allied Telesis account manager. We appreciate that these are challenging times for everyone in our industry and will strive to ensure that business continues as normal to the best of our ability.

Take care. Takayoshi Oshima CEO Allied Telesis Group
