Allied Telesis CEO Joins Congressional Staff Briefing

SAN JOSE, CA – February 22, 2019 - Allied Telesis, a global leader in connectivity and network solutions today announced that Mineta Transportation Institute (MTI) and Allied Telesis CEO and MTI board member, Takayoshi Oshima, delivered a Congressional Staff Briefing on Surface Transportation Targets and Cybersecurity this January.

In a unique opportunity, MTI was invited to present its research on terrorism threats to surface transportation. Director of the MTI’s Transportation Security Center, Brian M. Jenkins led the discussion with his recent report "Does ‘See Something Say Something’ Work?"

Takayoshi Oshima joined Jenkins to discuss managing cyber risks and business exposure in the surface transportation ecosystem. He explained that Allied Telesis has both security and smart automation products that enable an organization to build a cyber secure network without adding complexity or operational costs.

With the goal of strengthening its security-related business, Allied Telesis group has launched several new cybersecurity education and training courses, as well as enhanced vulnerability diagnosis and countermeasure services.
