Allied Telesis Pledges $500K Endowment Gift to San Jose State University’s MTI

SAN JOSE, CA – October 9, 2018 - Allied Telesis, a leading provider of hardware and software products that allow customers to build secure, feature-rich and scalable data exchange solutions, announced a $500,000 endowment gift to the Mineta Transportation Institute (MTI) of San Jose State University (SJSU).

The generous gift will establish a permanent endowment to provide long-term sustaining support to MTI’s cyber security program and will be called the Allied Telesis National Transportation Security Center. Karen Philbrick, executive director of MTI said, “Thanks to Allied Telesis’s commitment to a permanent endowment, we can expand our work in this critical area.”

Founded in 1991, the Mineta Transportation Institute, an organized research and training unit in partnership with the Lucas College and Graduate School of Business at San Jose State University, increases mobility for all by improving the safety, efficiency, accessibility, and convenience of our nation’s transportation system.
