Ethernet Protection Switching Ring (EPSR) Feature Overview and Configuration Guide
This guide describes Ethernet Protection Switching Ring (EPSR) and how to configure it. Putting a ring of Ethernet switches at the core of a network is a simple way to increase the network’s resilience.
In a separate section, this guide also describes the EPSR SuperLoop Prevention (EPSR-SLP) feature, which is an enhancement to the EPSR feature in AlliedWare Plus™. EPSR-SLP prevents “SuperLoops” forming in certain EPSR multi-ring topologies. This functionality makes it possible for EPSR-SLP protected rings to have data VLANs in common on their respective ring domains.
