Register Wireless AP
Finally, we are ready to register APs in the AWC Plug-in's management database.
In this example, all the TQ6702 GEN2s can be registered from a list of guest devices, as we assume they joined the AMF network as guest devices. It's also possible to register them for future Zero Touch Configuration because they got their IP addresses from DHCP server on the L3 switch.
If you want to register them manually or register them from guest device list without Zero Touch Configuration in mind, please refer to Quick Tour > Configure Multi-channel Wireless Network > Register Wireless AP.
Register TQ6702 GEN2 For Future Zero Touch Configuration
First, we are going to register a TQ6702 GEN2 in the AWC Plug-in's database.- Select "Wireless Configuration" > "AP Settings" from the AWC Plug-in menu.
The AP list screen will appear.

- Place the mouse cursor on the gear icon at the top right of the screen and select "Registration from Guest Device" from the submenu.

The "Registration from Guest Device" dialog box will appear.
By selecting a Management Group, you can see a list of guest device APs that are connected to AMF devices in the area specified in the group.
Select "1-2F Group" from "Management Group".

- Select Enable or Disable in "Use AMF for AP Provisioning".
- If "Use AMF for AP Provisioning" is disabled, the AWC Plug-in requires the AP's IP and MAC addresses for management. This requires that the AP's IP address is preconfigured.
- If "Use AMF for AP Provisioning" is enabled, the AWC Plug-in identifies the AP by using AMF guest device information for the AP (AMF network, area, parent device and the port to which the AP is connected).

- If "Use AMF for AP Provisioning" is disabled, the AWC Plug-in requires the AP's IP and MAC addresses for management. This requires that the AP's IP address is preconfigured.
- Use the checkbox to select the AP to register from the list of guest devices.
Here we check all six APs: "TQ6702G2-1F-1" to "TQ6702G2-1F-3" and "TQ6702G2-2F-1" to "TQ6702G2-2F-3".

- Click "Add".
Now you can see the newly added APs "TQ6702G2-1F-1" to "TQ6702G2-1F-3" and "TQ6702G2-2F-1" to "TQ6702G2-2F-3" in the list. At this stage, each AP's "AP Profile" is "Unconfigured", and each AP's "Management Status" is "Unmanaged."

To make the APs operational, you have to apply an AP profile to them.
Because applying an AP Profile starts the multi-channel VAP operation defined in the profile, we will leave the AP Profile unconfigured for now. We will apply it later with the CB Profile.
