Vista Manager EX

Vista Manager EX is a state-of-the-art management and monitoring tool for LAN, SD-WAN and wireless networks delivering powerful automation features.

It is available either as a software deployment or as a Vista Manager Network Appliance (VST-APL). The software deployment options include:

• a virtual machine with Vista Manager Virtual (VST-VRT),
• a Windows server installation,
• or, a standalone virtual appliance on a suitable virtualization platform.

Vista Manager EX comes with additional, optional, plugins. These are available on all except the the standalone virtual appliance deployment.

AWC plugin

The Allied Telesis Autonomous Wave Control (AWC) plugin enables management and monitoring of Allied Telesis wireless access points (APs). It is available as an optional plugin Vista Manager EX installations.

The AWC plugin's release notes and installation guide are included in the Vista Manager EX documents.

The following user guide covers the setup and use of AWC, AWC Channel Blanket (AWC-CB), and AWC Smart Connect (AWC-SC).

SNMP plugin

The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) plugin extends Vista Manager EX by allowing you to monitor and manage a wide range of third-party devices. It is available as an optional plugin for Vista Manager EX installations.

Nozomi plugin

The Nozomi plugin lets you discover and classify devices on your network. If you run an AMF network with AMF Device Discovery enabled, you can use Nozomi to add more information about devices into Vista Manager.

After you register the plugin, Vista Manager will poll for devices and discover them using the plugin. The devices will then be displayed on the Network Map and Asset Management pages, and you can change any desired custom details. When you remove or unregister the Nozomi plugin, the devices discovered by Nozomi will be removed from the map.

SD-WAN feature

Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) provides you with improved inter-branch network performance and reduced cost, by automatically optimizing application traffic over multiple VPN links between offices.
