Allied Telesis and Paramount Bed Co., Ltd. Extend their Medical Monitoring System Partnership

Tokyo, Japan - Allied Telesis, a leading provider of hardware and software products that allow customers to build secure, feature-rich and scalable data exchange solutions, is pleased to announce an extension to its successful partnership with Paramount Bed. This partnership now includes the new Allied Telesis TQ6602 GEN2 Access Points, for operation with Paramount Bed’s Nemuri (sleep) medical sensors.

Paramount Bed was established in 1947 as a manufacturer of hospital beds, and soon diversified its range to include senior care and home care beds, products and services to meet the public need. Today, Paramount Bed provides industry-leading medical care products to over 110 countries worldwide.

Allied Telesis and Paramount Bed worked together to evaluate Nemuri SCAN sensor bed mats and the Nemuri SCAN Eye cameras⁽¹⁾ in a high-performance wireless LAN provided by TQ6602 GEN2 Access Points. The Nemuri SCAN products monitor sleeping residents in medical facilities and report sleep status and patient health data via the network - data that improves patient care and reduces staff workload. Because the data is made available over the network, the system depends on a strong, secure, stable wireless LAN. The evaluation successfully proved that TQ6602 GEN2 Access Points provide an effective wireless LAN for Nemuri sensors.

AWC Channel Blanket (AWC-CB) provides a single blanket of wireless coverage across the entire premises to support seamless roaming and consistent online access for all Wi-Fi mobile clients, as well as wireless devices like the Paramount sensor bed mats and cameras.
