Allied Telesis Launches Net.AMF Hosted Service
San Jose, Calif. - October 20, 2017 - Allied Telesis, a leading provider of hardware and software products that allow customers to build secure, feature-rich and scalable data exchange solutions, has announced the launch of its Net.AMF™ network automation service aimed at giving enterprises a flexible and responsive cloud-managed solution to network self-healing, with advanced monitoring, management, security and visualization capabilities.
As organizations of all sizes wrestle with the challenges of delivering planned network expansions with new capabilities and technologies, IT managers must pay careful attention to improved network management capabilities, especially with security and the ever-more sophisticated and evolving threat landscape. Traditional network management systems are limited in capability, are inflexible and require dedicated and costly systems and resources to set up correctly. To better meet the requirements of a complex, evolving network, Allied Telesis services can be finely tuned to deliver the required performance while balancing other operational and resourcing requirements.
“To avoid network downtime from infrastructure breakages, misconfigurations or cyber events, there is a need to enhance the effectiveness and responsiveness of network management solutions and to deliver those solutions equally across the organization,” said James Mustarde, Vice President of Marketing. “Net.AMF cloud-hosted services are designed to help our clients to better address the effects that IoT and digital transformation are having on their networks and to deliver a sophisticated, responsive network management capability across the enterprise.”
Net.AMF leverages the capabilities of AMF, Allied Telesis’ highly-scalable network management and automation solution that supports Allied Telesis switching, firewall and wireless products, as well as a wide range of third-party devices, including video surveillance cameras and IP phones, for truly inclusive network automation. With a sophisticated suite of management tools that provide a simplified approach to network security and management, AMF delivers centralized control, auto-backup, auto-upgrade, auto-provisioning and auto-recovery, enabling plug-and-play networking and zero-touch management. When delivered as a managed cloud service, Net.AMF will reduce a customer’s infrastructure operating costs as there are no dedicated hardware or staffing requirements. Cloud-hosted deployment is also eco-friendly, requiring no rack space, cooling or power.
With this new service, Allied Telesis has expanded its product and solutions services offering, allowing customers to focus more on their core business rather than managing the gap between their evolving network management needs and the necessity to always seek greater value from their network investments.
