Allied Telesis Achieves Common Criteria Certification for x930 Series of Advanced Layer 3 Stackable Gigabit Switches
San Jose, CA. May 24, 2018 - Allied Telesis, a leading provider of hardware and software products that allow customers to build secure, feature-rich and scalable data exchange solutions, today announced that its x930 Series of Advanced Layer 3 Stackable Gigabit Switches have successfully completed Common Criteria evaluation by the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP). The U.S. federal government requires Common Criteria evaluations to ensure products meet security requirements, and the validation is important for the defense and intelligence communities, as well as critical infrastructures such as power plants and emergency services.
“The rapid proliferation of mobile devices, cloud computing and the Internet of Things has increased the sprawl of the computing landscape and with it new vulnerabilities for potential cyber-attacks," said Seiichiro Sato, Senior Vice President, Global Marketing for Allied Telesis. ”Although it is important to focus on securing endpoints and communication lines in a diverse, mobile, and cloud-based environment, network managers must not forget about basic network infrastructure, which if unattended could prove to be a weak link.”
The NIAP evaluation was carried out in accordance with the Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme processes and procedures. Allied Telesis x930 series switches were evaluated against the criteria contained in the Collaborative Protection Profile for Network Devices (CPP-ND) and are included on the Product Compliant List.
Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) certified and OpenFlow-compliant, the x930 series of switches are powered by AlliedWare Plus™ and feature Autonomous Management Framework™ (AMF) and Autonomous Wave Control™ (AWC) technology that enable organizations to build highly intelligent, resilient and secure next-generation networks. x930 series switches are available in 24- and 48-port models with 10 Gigabit and 40 Gigabit uplink ports, plus the power of Virtual Chassis Stacking (VCStack™) with up to 160Gbps of stacking bandwidth per switch.
x930 switches with the Common Criteria certified version of AlliedWare Plus (version 5.4.6-1) are now available to order.
