User Guide: AWC plug-in version 3.12.0 for VST-APL

Select target APs

This section describes how to select the wireless APs that you want to join the Smart Connect network.

Note
If there are APs that do not support AWC-SC in the Management Group, set Smart Connect to "Disable" in the "AP List" on the "Edit SC Profile" screen.
The following models of APs can be used.
  • TQ5403 / TQ5403e / TQm5403 firmware version 6.0.1-1.1 or later
  • TQ6602 GEN2 / TQ6702 GEN2 firmware version 8.0.3-0.1 or later
If Smart Connect is enabled on the list, some settings may be applied unintentionally, even if the AP model does not support Smart Connect.
  1. Select "Wireless Configuration" > "SC Profile" from the AWC Plug-in menu.
  2. Click on "Detail" (the magnifying glass icon) to the right of the SC profile you want to edit or delete.
  3. The configuration information of the SC profile is displayed. Click "Edit" at the top right of the Content section.
The "Edit SC Profile" page will appear.
  4. In the "AP List" section at the bottom of the Content section, select whether to enable or disable Smart Connect for each AP.
The Enable/Disable button is a toggle. Click "Enable" to switch to "Disable", and click "Disable" to switch to "Enable". The default is "Enable".
Normally, if the SC Profile has already been created in the Management Group, the SC profile will automatically be applied to the APs under the Management Group.
For APs that will use a wired connection instead being managed by AWC-SC, click the "Enable" button to switch them to "Disabled".
  5. Select the AP that will act as the Root AP.

    ◼ Selection from AP List
In the AP list, check the "Root" checkbox of the target AP.

    ◼ Selection from Floor Map
If the APs are placed on the floor map, you can also select the AP to be used as the Root AP while checking the distance and position on the floor map.
    1. Clicking the "Floor Map" button on the upper right of the "Wireless AP List" switches to the floor map panel display, and displays the floor map panels belonging to the management group set as the target of the SC Profile.
    2. Click one of the floor Map panels to display the target floor map.
    3. Click the AP icon on the floor map to select it as the Root AP.
At the top right of the AP icon of the Root AP, a Root AP icon (an inverted-T shape) is displayed.
  6. After completing the settings, click "Save" at the top right of the Content section.
