SC Profile


A Smart Connect profile defines common parameters, such as the VAP for APs which will belong to the smart connect network.
This page allows you to create, edit, and delete SC profiles, and apply configurations to the APs selected as the targets of an SC profile.

Table 1
Item Name Description
"Create" button Shows the "Create New SC Profile" page.
Refer to Operation Reference > Smart Connect > Configure SC Profile for more details.
"Apply Config" button Opens the "Apply Configuration" dialog box. The changes in settings can be applied to all APs belonging to the target management group for the selected SC Profile.
Note
APs that are disabled Smart Connect and APs that do not support Smart Connect are also subject to the latest configurations except settings related to Smart Connect. Please note that this operation will temporarily stop wireless traffic.


  • X AP:
    The total number of APs belonging to the management group subject to the relevant SC Profile is displayed.

  • Device Name:
    Shows the name of the AP. If the AP was added from the Guest Device list, the guest device name is displayed.

  • IP Address:
    Shows the AP's IP address.

  • MAC Address:
    Shows the device's MAC address.

  • Management Status:
    Shows the Management Status of the AP.
    • Unmanaged:
      The AP is not managed, because any of the IP address, MAC address, or AP profile is not configured.
      Configurations cannot be applied to unmanaged APs.

    • Discovering:
      The AWC Plug-in is searching for the AP.

    • Applying:
      The AWC Plug-in is applying a configuration update to the AP.

    • Managed:
      The AP is being managed by the AWC Plug-in.

    • Waiting:
      The AP was provisioned by AMF configuration and has just been assigned an AP Profile.
      Or, the AP was provisioned to use DHCP to register IP/MAC addresses to the AWC Plug-in, and has just been assigned an AP Profile.

    • Failed:
      The AP is no longer managed by the AWC Plug-in.

    • Not Authenticated:
      The AP cannot be managed because the number of managed APs reached the maximum number allowed by the registered Wireless AP licenses.
      Alternatively, the AP cannot be managed because the AP belongs to a Channel Blanket or Smart Connect network, but the number of managed APs has reached the maximum number allowed by the registered Channel Blanket / Smart Connect licenses.

  • Config Status:
    Shows the configuration status of the AP.
    • Not Configured:
      The AP is not fully configured.

    • Not Applied:
      The configuration has not been applied to the AP by the AWC Plug-in.

    • Latest:
      The latest configuration has been applied to the AP.

    • Pending:
      The AP has an out-of-date configuration and is pending a newer configuration.

  • SC Profile:
    Shows the SC Profile assigned to the AP.

  • "OK" button:
    Applies the changes of the AP profile and SC profile to the AP.
    It also applies CB Profile or pending AP-specific configurations to the AP.

  • "Cancel" button:
    Cancels applying configuration changes to the AP.

Table 2: SC Profile List
Item Name Description
X SC Profiles Shows the number of SC profiles.
X SELECTED Shows the number of selected SC profiles.
Search SC Profile Lets you search and filter SC profiles in the list.
The search field lets you enter a partial string to match. The screen displays entries with that string in one of the following fields: "SC Profile Name" or "Management Group".
To remove the filter, delete the string from the search field and press enter.
Note
The search is case-sensitive.
SC Profile List
Checkbox Lets you select/deselect SC Profiles. A checkbox in the header row can be used to check or uncheck all SC Profiles. Unchecking the box in the heading row deselects all entries in the list.
SC Profile Name Shows the SC Profile name.
Management Group Shows a list of Management Groups for the SC Profile.
Assigned APs Shows the number of APs to which the SC Profile is assigned.
Unapplied APs Shows the number of APs, for which some pending configurations (AP Profile, CB Profile, SC Profile or AP-specific configurations) exist, and which belong to the management group that the SC Profile is created. The APs which do not belong to the actual Smart Connect Network or which do not support Smart Connect are also counted.
Detail (magnifying glass icon) Shows "SC Profile Details" page. Refer to Operation Reference > Smart Connect > Configure SC Profile for more details.

Items per page Specifies the number of items per page.
<< Goes to the first page of the list.
(Page Number) Shows the current page number in the list.
>> Goes to the last page of the list.
