◼ System Setting

Table 2: System Setting
Item Name Description
Database Setting
Maximum Memory Usage
Specify the maximum amount of system memory that can be used for the AWC Plug-in database.
Note
Changing the maximum memory amount is not supported in the AWC Plug-in for VST-VRT. Use the default setting.
"Save" button Save and apply configuration changes to the database.
IP Address Settings
External IP address for AWC plug-in
Set the external IP address to be used for communication between the AWC Plug-in and the wireless APs.
The default is "127.0.0.1".
Note
To manage the wireless AP, set this value to be the same as the IP address of the AWC Plug-in server (the "Wireless Controller" application in the VST-VRT configuration screen). After registering the AWC Plug-in and after assigning a new IP address to the AWC Plug-in server, be sure to change it to the same IP address as the AWC Plug-in server.
"Save" button Saves the changes to the IP address settings in the operation.
Data Retention Period Setting
Associated Client History
Specify a retention period for associated client histories that are displayed on the Screen Reference > Wireless Monitoring > Floor Map screen.

  • Don't Save:
The AWC Plug-in does not retain associated client history. Clients are not shown on the Floor Map's client history screen.

  • Set Retention Period:
The AWC Plug-in retains associated client histories within the specified period. The range for the retention period can be from 1 to 31 days.
Note
When you change this setting, the associated client history is initialized.
Note
The Data Retention Period Setting can be set up to 31 days on the screen, but the operation with the period up to 14 days is supported.
Note
When you use Associated Client History with the following wireless APs, please set the log severity of the wireless AP to "information(6)" or higher. If the log severity is set to "debug(7)", this feature will not work.
The default value of the log severity of these wireless APs is "information(6)", so if the wireless APs are not configured for logging, this function can still be used.

Affected wireless APs: AT-TQ1402/5403/5403e/6602, AT-TQm1402/5403

The log severity can be set in the Severity of the Syslog client in the AP Profile.
If you want to use the Associated Client History View with the log function of the Syslog Client disabled, please change "Syslog Client" to "Enable" and "Severity" to "6 : informational" in the AP Profile (the Syslog server IP address/host name can be a fictitious address), apply this AP common setting to the wireless AP, and then set "Syslog Client" to "Disable" in the AP Profile and apply it again. Client Location Estimation History
Specify a retention period for client location estimation histories that are displayed on the Screen Reference > Wireless Monitoring > Floor Map screen.

  • Don't Save:
The AWC Plug-in does not retain estimated client location information. Clients are not shown on the Floor Map's associated client location estimation history screen. The device counter in the Floor Map Associated Client View will also not count the number of clients of which the locations are estimated.

  • Set Retention Period:
The AWC Plug-in retains client location estimation histories within the specified period. The range for the retention period can be from 1 to 31 days.
Note
When you change this setting, the client location estimation history will be initialized.
Note
The Data Retention Period Setting can be set up to 31 days on the screen, but the operation with the period up to 14 days is supported.
Client Location Estimation is available on this version of the AWC Plug-in combined with TQ5403/5403e firmware version 6.0.1-1.x or later.
Note
When this feature is enabled, the maximum number of wireless APs that can have CB Profiles applied is 500 over the entire system.
IDS Report History
Specify a retention period for IDS reports that are displayed on the Screen Reference > Wireless Monitoring > IDS/IPS Report page.

  • Save only latest:
The AWC Plug-in only retains neighbor AP information that has been detected within the last day. Rogue APs are not shown in the Floor Map's Rogue AP View.

  • Set Retention Period:
The AWC Plug-in retains neighbor AP information that has been detected during the specified period. The range for the retention period can be from 1 to 31 days.
Note
When you change this setting, the IDS report information is initialized.
Note
The Data Retention Period Setting can be set up to 31 days on the screen, but the operation with the period up to 14 days is supported.
