User Guide: AT-RADGate for VST-APL/VST-VRT version 1.0.0

TCP or UDP port used by AT-RADgate

Ports AT-RADgate listens on

Services provided by AT-RADgate listen on the following ports. Listening ports can be changed for some services. But before changing them, make sure that each service port is not used by any other service.
Table 1: Listening port numbers
Service Name Port Number Communication Direction Note
Web GUI 443/TCP Bidirectional This can be changed in "Web Service" on the Network Settings page.
Web management page redirection 80/TCP Bidirectional When the standby port number of the Web setting page is other than 80, this number is used to forward messages received at this number to the standby port number of the Web management page.
Internal DNS server 53/TCP
53/UDP
There is no communication with external hosts.
RADIUS Authentication 1812/UDP Bidirectional
RADIUS Accounting 1813/UDP Bidirectional
Service Management 30001 - 30032 /TCP
30001 - 30032/UDP
This is a port reserved for information exchange between each AT-RADgate service.

Packets AT-RADgate transmits

Services provided by AT-RADgate may transmit packets to the following destinations. If there are intermediate devices such as firewalls, they should be properly configured to allow those packets.
Table 2: Packets transmitted by AT-RADgate services
Feature Destination Port Number Communication Direction Note
Event Log Configured Host 514/UDP Sending Direction If you have set an external Syslog server in "Syslog" on the Logging Settings page, packets addressed to that host are sent. The port numbers shown in the examples here are the default values that are used if the port number is omitted.
SMTP Client Configured Host Configured port/TCP Bidirectional If you set an SMTP Server on the Email Settings page, packets are sent to the set host when sending email.
DNS Client Configured Host 53/UDP Bidirectional Sends packets for DNS name resolution. The destination address is the DNS server you set in the AT-RADgate Application Configuration for VST-APL or VST-VRT.
Windows Active Directory Integration If you configure a Windows Active Directory Domain, packets are sent to communicate with the Windows Domain Controller. For information about packets sent, refer to Windows Server documentation.
