Change Plug-in Server's IP Address and Port
This section covers how to change the IP address of the AWC Plug-in server.
NoteThe AWC Plug-in for VST-VRT does not support changing the port number of its server.
NoteAfter restarting the server or changing the IP address of the server, the AWC Plug-in shows the last retrieved status for unreachable APs. Therefore, this status may not be up-to-date. Once the APs become reachable again, the latest status will be displayed.
Change Server IP Address
To change the IP address of the AWC Plug-in, change the IP address of the Wireless Controller application on VST-VRT. When you make these changes, please also refer to the Vista Manager Virtual (VST-VRT) User Guide.- Log in to the VST-VRT configuration screen.
- Click "Wireless Controller" on the left-hand menu.
- The "Wireless Controller" management screen will appear. Click the "Stop" button on the right end of each row in the "Deployed Application" list.
- The state changes to "Stopping". Wait for a minute until the state changes to "Stopped".
- Place the mouse pointer over the 'i' icon on the far left side of the "Deployed Application" row. Click the "Configure" button on the "Instance Information" pop-up that appears.
- When the "Application Configuration" panel appears, click on the "Network" item to expand it. In the "IPv4 Address" field, enter your new IP address and subnet mask length in the format of "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/xx".
Also enter the gateway address, if necessary.
- Click the "Apply" button at the bottom right of "Application Configuration" panel to close the panel.
- This takes you back to the Wireless Controller management screen. Click "Save" on the top right corner of the screen to save your settings.
- Click the "Start" button on the right end of the row in the "Deployed Application" list.
- The state becomes "Running", and the "Start" button changes into the "Stop" button.
NoteAfter changing the IP address, you must re-register the AWC Plug-in in the Vista Manager EX "Plug-in Management" screen to access each screen from the AWC Plug-in menu. For more information, see the Vista Manager EX User Guide.
