Other Nodes



This section covers the pages for viewing and changing nodes under the device, namely Ports, Stacks, Chassis and Slots.
Pages for those node types have the almost same layout.
We use the pages for Ports as examples.

Port

Port pages allows you to view details on a port or edit its attributes.

Port Details

You can open "Port Details" page by selecting a port on the Tree View and clicking a port name in the node attribute section on the Device Tree View page.
"Port Details" page shows its attributes and a event list.

Port Attributes

Item Content
"Gear" icon Clicking "Gear" icon shows the "Clear Notfication Flags" submenu for the port.
You can use the "Clear Notfication Flags" to clear a trap icon on the node.
Name Shows a configurable name of the port.
Description Shows a comment configured for the slot.
Port # Shows the port number.
Network Address Shows an IPv4 address and a prefix length (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/xx format).
Destination MAC Address Show a MAC address of the port or the device.
Traffic Rate Shows the port speed (in bps)
Type Shows the port type.
Status Shows the port status.
Edit Opens "Edit Node" page for the node.

Event List

You can see a list of event logs on "Event Log List" page.

Item Name Description
Event Date/Time Shows the date/time of the event
Source Name Shows the event source name such as node name where the event occurred.
Model Name Shows the model name of the event source (when the source is a device).
Event Name Shows a type of the event.
Message Shows a descriptive message for the event.
Details Moves to Event Log Details page for the event.
Page Navigation Lets you view a specific page of the list.
  • First:
    Shows the first page.

  • Previous:
    Shows the previous page.

  • Page Number:
    When you click a page number, the page will be shown. Current page number is grayed out.

  • Next:
    Shows the next page.

  • Last:
    Shows the last page.

Edit Port

You can open "Edit Port" page for the port by clicking the port name in the node attribute section of Port Details page.
"Edit Port" page lets you edit the node attributes of a port.

Item Content
Name Enter the name of the port. Should be 1 to 255 characters in length, with alphabets, numbers and symbols (space " % , - < > ^ _ ` { | } ~ can be used).
Description Enter a comment. Should be no more than 1,024 characters in length, with alhabets, numbers, and symbols (including spaces).
"Save" button Saves changes to the port attributes and moves to "Port Details" page.

Stack

Stack pages allows you to view details on a stack or edit its attributes.

Stack Details

You can open "Stack Details" page by selecting a stack on the Tree View and clicking a stack name in the node attribute section on the Device Tree View page.
"Stack Details" page shows its attributes and a event list.
Note
Its page layout is the same as the Port Details page.
Its page title indicates the node type.

Chassis

Chassis pages allows you to view details on a chassis or edit its attributes.

You can open "Chassis Details" page by selecting a chassis on the Tree View and clicking a chassis name in the node attribute section on the Device Tree View page.
"Chassis Details" page shows its attributes and a event list.
Note
Its page layout is the same as the Port Details page.
Its page title indicates the node type.

Slot

Slot pages allows you to view details on a slot or edit its attributes.

Slot Details

You can open "Slot Details" page by selecting a slot on the Tree View and clicking a slot name in the node attribute section on the Device Tree View page.
"Slot Details" page shows its attributes and a event list.

Its page layout is the same as the Port Details page.
Its page title indicates the node type.

"Gear" icon Clicking "Gear" icon shows the "Clear Notfication Flags" submenu for the port.
You can use the "Clear Notfication Flags" to clear a trap icon on the node.
Name Shows a configurable name of the slot. When the slot was auto-discovered, it was named in the form of "slot<slot-number>" such as "slot1". On some models, there may be a slot with a name in different format.
Description Shows a comment configured for the slot.
Slot Number Shows the slot number.
Model Name Shows the slot model information.
Edit Opens "Edit Slot" page for the slot.

Event List

You can see a list of event logs on "Event Log List" page.
