Configure Event Handlers
Event Filter allows you to configure the SNMP Plug-in to take automatic actions on specific events such as shutdown/reboot of a device, linkup/linkdown of a port and a received trap from a device.
You have to run dedicated utilities on the plug-in server host to configure Event Filter function.
Create Action Commands
An Action Command defines just an action. When to invoke it is defined separately in an Event Filter.You can use "Action Command Configuration Utility" to create actions such as sending a notification email or running a specific application.
Refer to Screen Reference > System > Action Command for its configuration.
Configure Event Filters
An Event Filter defines what action should be taken when a specific event occurs.You can use "Event Filter Configuration Utility" to configure Event Filters.
