Setting up OpenFlow Switch

This section covers the procedures to configure OpenFlow Switches for use in the AT-SESC-managed network environment.

AlliedWare Plus Devices

AlliedWare Plus (AW+) operating system has a wide range of features.
To use an AW+ device as an OpenFlow Switch, you have to set up several configuration options such as an IP address of the device and an IP address of an OpenFlow controller. In addition to those basic OpenFlow configurations, you also have to configure several other required options.

Preparation

To use an AW+ device with AT-SESC, please make sure that the following requirements are met.
  1. OpenFlow-capable version (Version 5.4.6 or later) of the firmware is installed on the device.

  2. OpenFlow license is enabled on the device.
Please refer to the device's reference manual for the detailed information on how to configure the device as an OpenFlow Switch.
The latest information on AT-SESC and AW+ devices are found in the release notes of those products.
Please find those documents on our website.

AT-TQ Series Wireless Access Point

AT-SESC can manage the following wireless access points.

Preparation

In order to use the management function of AT-SESC with OpenFlow protocol on AT-TQ4600, you need to use AT-TQ4600-OF13 of OpenFlow compatible version.
